The creation of the poster "Code Switch" was inspired by the concept of duality experienced by black individuals living in America. The idea was rooted in W.E.B Dubois's writing on "double consciousness," where colonized groups are forced to view themselves through the lens of their oppressors. In our society, black individuals must cultivate two versions of themselves in order to endure and survive the oppressive environment they face. "Code Switch" represents this struggle, encapsulating the experience of having to constantly switch between these two identities. This Poster was made by Odes Roberts for AlmostStudios.
